Tommy takes the honours at the CMAP Awards 2020
Crosshaven Instructor Mr Tommy Burns was honoured at this years’ CMAP Awards last Saturday night (1st February) receiving the “Community Spirit” award in recognition for his continued contributions to the Tae Kwon-Do community across Cork. Cork Indoor Sports Awards 2019
On Friday 12th April members of TKDI came together in the Metropole Hotel to celebrate with Mr Greg Desmond on his Cork Indoor Sports Award for 2019. Mr. Desmond (Bishopstown TKD) was recognised not only for his dedication to the art of Tae Kwon-Do but also for his tireless fundraising skills which saw over €7000 raised for Bishopstown competitors at the 2018 World Championships in Birmingham. His work continues with raffles and generous donations from his jewelers in Bandon.

Colleges & Kids Kick Off 2019
A busy weekend for TKDI students on both side of the water as TKDI students from across the country attended The Open Martial Arts Intervarsity in CIT, the National Student Tae Kwon-Do Championships in Manchester and Ballincollig Tae Kwon-Do School’s annual junior tournament. Teenage Kicks at the Leisureplex!!
On Friday 28th December TKDI teens descended upon the Leisureplex on MacCurtain Street for the annual TKDI Teen Party. TKDI Takeover in Council Chambers
On Wednesday 22nd August the Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Mick Finn hosted a reception for the participants of the TI World Championships in Birmingham and ITF World Championships in Argentina. He commended all those who traveled and encourged everyone to keep up their training, as he would follow our progress in to the coming year. A Mixing of Martial Arts Minds in Bishopstown!!
In their latest fundraising event Bishopstown TKDI was kindly joined by internationally renound Shotokan Karate SKIF Sensei Seamus O'Dowd for a morning of Bo Staff instruction. Cork Indoor Sports Awards 2018
No fears on Friday 13th April as the Cork Indoor Sports Association held their 56th Annual Awards Night. TKDI have been part of this association for many years and each year, the board of Tae Kwon-Do Ireland nominates a recipient for this prestigious award. A Merry Merry Christmas to All!!
Last night saw both instructors and students brave the rain and cold for the last of the TKDI Christmas celebrations. Chuckies Party a Hit with TKDI Juniors
Friday 8th December saw the annual gathering of our TKDI Juniors for their Christmas Party. There were slides, ball fights and a mechanical bull to keep all Tae-Kwon-Doians happy and busy from 6-8pm. All kids left happy with a selection box from their instructor. Huge thanks to Ms Catherine O'Boyle for all her hard work again this year in what was another great night for our juniors!
