Bishopstown TKDI started the new training season with a busy September.

First up was the SMA Hall's Family Day on Sunday September 9th. Father Michael invited junior and senior students to give the residents of Bishopstown and Wilton a demonstration of their skills, on a beautiful autumn evening with the assistance of Mr. Kevin Fitzgibbon on the mic! They performed a sample of patterns, sparring and self defense in front of a large appreciative crowd that included Bishop Buckley and the Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Thomas Moloney. Many thanks once again to Father Michael for the invitation.

Next up was a visit to Master Franks Crystal Classic in Waterford on Sunday September 23rd. Both junior and senior students had a very early start but there were no sleepy heads when the tournament kicked off at 10am. Eight Bishopstown students made the journey and returned with 12 medals : 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 8 Bronze. Well done everyone!!

Training now begins for the INTA National Championships in Gormanston, Co. Meath at the end of October.
