Carrigaline's Ms Amy Sullivan scoops the bronze medal in the ITF World Championships in Argentina.
This was an excellent result considering that this was Amy's first time competing at senior level on the international stage.
Amy had a comfortable win in her first match against a Uruguayan competitor who she proved to be too strong for.
Her opponent in the semi-finals was the very experienced English competitor Kelly Rose. Amy had beaten her earlier in the year during her preparations for this competition but unfortunately for Amy Kelly managed to get the edge this time and used her considerable experience to win the tough bout.
Ms Sullivan took home the bronze medal for Ireland, made some great friends and gained some valuable experience.
