    Bishopstown TKD Show Their Claws at The PUMA Championships

    Bishopstown's trip to the UK this February was a great experience and success for all the students and parents involved. 23 students travelled to the PUMA Open International: Ethan, Sarah, Zumyra, Aniq, Nurain, Dania, Abbie, Rebecca, Syaheera and black belts Eyad, Sarah, Samuel, Syaireen, Zulyqa, Sandra, , Luke, Oliwia, Pia, Sophie, Ian, Ms Marion Haussmann, Mr Sam O'Sullivan, and Mr Alex Walsh.     Crosshaven Instructor Mr Tommy Burns was honoured at this years’ CMAP Awards last Saturday night (1st February) receiving the “Community Spirit” award in recognition for his continued contributions to the Tae Kwon-Do community across Cork. The 4th Degree septuagenarian is an inspiration to the younger generation and an encyclopaedia of knowledge and history to those lucky enough to keep his company.
