    Bishopstown TKD Head Back to Gormanston!

    Bishopstown Taekwondo travelled to Gormanston Co. Meath for the INTA International Open Championships at the weekend. The SMA Hall Wilton based club were competing at this event for the first time. It is the longest running International Open in Europe. There were 500 competitors competing over the two days. First up were the junior yellow belts, with Sarah Alexander winning Gold in under 8 sparring demonstrating fantastic speed of punching in a hard fought final. Ethan Alexa

    NUIG at UCC Intervarsities

    On Saturday 23rd of February, 6 members of NUIG Tae Kwon-Do travelled down to the Mardyke Arena in Cork to take part in the Tae Kwon-Do Intervarsities, hosted by UCC. The team did well through the day, walking away with 14 medals: 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze. They started well with Roisin O’Loughlin scoring silver in the female black belt patterns. The team also saw great success in the male red tag to black tag category, cleaning house with Cathal Ó Murchú scorning bronze,
